MeaningThe electrical control of the first cylinder's injector is not responding correctly. Sister codes P0202, P0203 and P0204 cover the other cylinders.

Typical symptoms

Engine shaking or misfiring
Rough idle
Reduced power
Smoke from the exhaust

Common causes

Loose or corroded injector connector
Heat-damaged wiring
Faulty injector coil or piezo element
Faulty ECU output stage

What to do

Measure injector resistance and wiggle-test the harness with the engine running: many cases are a connector, not an injector. If the injector is replaced, remember to program its IMA/IQA code into the ECU.
