P2195 — Lambda Sensor Signal Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1

Severity: Warning Can you drive? Yes, no known limitation Make: All makes (OBD-II standard)
MeaningThe engine control unit has noticed that the oxygen sensor on the driver or intake side of the exhaust is constantly reading too much oxygen. This means the computer thinks the engine is running on too much air and not enough fuel, so it tries to add more fuel to balance it out.
FamilyPowertrain (P)

Typical symptoms

Check Engine light is on
Engine might feel slightly sluggish or hesitate when you press the gas pedal
Rough idle when the engine is warm

Common causes

A faulty oxygen sensor that is failing to report correctly
An intake air leak or a vacuum leak letting unmeasured air into the engine
A weak fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter keeping fuel pressure too low
An exhaust leak near the front sensor affecting the air reading

What to do

You should have a mechanic check the live data from the oxygen sensor and inspect the intake hoses and exhaust for leaks as soon as you have time. Driving for a long time with an incorrect fuel mixture can eventually damage the catalytic converter.
