MeaningThe particulate filter differential sensor reports a value that makes no sense against engine speed and load. The whole regeneration strategy relies on this reading.

Common causes

Measuring pipes blocked, kinked or disconnected
Faulty sensor
Connector corroded by moisture
Genuinely clogged filter

What to do

Disconnect the two small pipes and blow them through: if they were blocked, that was the problem. Half an hour of checking that avoids replacing a healthy filter — and the filter is the most expensive part of the whole exhaust system.
