What we do for your car: remapping, diagnostics, modules and anti-theft
One file developed on your engine, a real diagnosis before touching anything, and the stock software kept safe. From the Foggia headquarters and from 31 certified workshops across Italy.
The services
Everything is done on the car in a MasterTuning centre, with a file written for that specific vehicle and a road test at the end.
- Stage 1 remapMore power and torque on a standard car, written on the original map: typically 20-30% on a turbodiesel. Stage 2 and 3 for modified engines.See the gain for your car in the database before booking.
- Electronic diagnosis and ECU repairDPF/FAP, EGR, AdBlue, swirl flaps, lambda sensors, fault codes: we read the real parameters, find the cause and fix it, instead of replacing parts by guesswork.Fault code dictionary: 19,306 codes explained.
- Back to stock softwareSelling the car, warranty claim or a job gone wrong elsewhere: the factory file goes back on the ECU from our archive of 54,129 stock files.
- Rapid add-on modulesFor leased or in-warranty cars: the Dimsport module plugs into the sensors, adds torque and comes off in minutes without touching the ECU software.
- Mechanical anti-theftDefender steering locks, OBD port armour, Steel Cover ECU protection, Van Lock for vans: fitted on site.
- Maxhaust active soundSound modules, resonators and valve control: MasterTuning is the official Maxhaust distributor and installer in Italy.
- 1.6 TDI injector knock patchCold-start noise and uneven injector knock on the 1.6 TDI: a software patch, developed by MasterTuning, instead of a dealer update.
- Tools for workshopsFlex, The Genius, Galileo, UHDS and Marconi: the programmers and diagnostic tools we use, sold with support.Workshops: the file service is on MasterTuning File.
Why MasterTuning
- A file developed on the single vehicle, not a generic file from a database.
- Dyno-tested calibrations: power, reliability and consumption measured on a PowerScan dynamometer.
- The stock file is backed up before writing and restored free of charge if you ever need it.
- Lifetime warranty on the modified software and on the engine ECU.
- Factory safety strategies kept in place: temperature, pressure and torque limits stay where the manufacturer put them.
- Over twenty years on engine electronics, 31 certified workshops in 12 Italian regions.
How a job goes
Quote
Send make, model, year and engine: you get the price and the expected gain before booking.
Reading and backup
The ECU is read via OBD or on the bench. The stock file is archived.
Development and writing
The calibration is written for your engine and loaded on the ECU. Most jobs take 2-3 hours.
Test and handover
Self-diagnosis check, road test, and the original file kept for you.
A note on road use
Increasing a vehicle's maximum power is carried out on request for motorsport use or private land. Removing emissions equipment is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads in the EU: our diagnostics repair those systems, they do not remove them.
Where
Headquarters in Foggia, Via di Salsola 141, open Monday to Friday 8:30-19:00 and Saturday morning. Thirty-one certified workshops across Italy do the same work with the same files.
