Rapid PRO+ takes the Rapid PRO experience a step further. The new electronic platform uses SENT technology, a Bluetooth link and three dedicated connections, so it can work on the latest engines, where conventional modules cannot reach.
The quoted increase goes up to 20% in power and torque. The delivery becomes sharper and more progressive: acceleration, pick-up and driving pleasure all gain, without touching the ECU software.
Like the whole Rapid range it is plug-and-play and reversible in a few minutes: the ECU keeps its factory software, useful on cars that are leased, under warranty or due to be sold on.
Compatibility: check that it fits your vehicle before buying. It is the module with the most selective coverage in the range: available mainly on recent Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and similar engines. Fitting is available at the MasterTuning centres.
The price shown is per application: every Rapid PRO+ is programmed for one specific engine, so before ordering we need to know which vehicle it is going on. You can check in our make and model selector: make, model, year and engine tell you straight away whether the module is available for your car.
The module works on the sensor signals, while remapping rewrites the ECU software. Remapping gives more headroom and finer control over the whole engine map; the module has the advantage of coming off without leaving a trace in the ECU. That is why it is the usual choice on cars under lease, still under warranty or due to be sold on soon.
The PRO+ uses SENT technology and three dedicated connections instead of one, so it reaches the latest engines where the PRO is not available, and it states gains of up to 20% against the PRO's 15%. Both are controlled from a smartphone.
It is the digital protocol that sensors on recent engines use to talk to the ECU, in place of the old analogue signal. A module that cannot handle it cannot work on those engines: the PRO+ exists precisely for that.
It has the most selective coverage in the range, concentrated on recent engines from the groups that use SENT sensors, in particular Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche. You can check for your vehicle in the make and model selector.
If your engine is supported by both, the choice is between a 20% and a 15% gain. If the engine is of the latest generation, the PRO+ is often the only one of the two available.
