What the kit includes
- Timing belt

When to change it
The intervals are set by the manufacturer, typically between 60,000 and 120,000 km or every 5-6 years, even if little mileage has been covered: rubber ages. Better to respect whichever limit comes first. Chains have no fixed interval but should be checked (noise, stretch), especially beyond 150,000 km.
Why not to postpone
If the belt breaks, on many engines (so-called "interference" engines) valves and pistons collide: the damage often exceeds €2,000-4,000. Changing it early is the best-value spend in all maintenance.
